Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers spacious and comfortable rooms but is situated near a noisy generator, with a fantastic location in the middle of the park offering unique sunset terrace views of Teide Volcano. The dining experience could be improved, and the price is reasonable considering the value for money.
I found Altavista Refugio to be a small but comfortable stay with stunning views over the Roques of Garcia, especially at sunset and sunrise. Although the booking pictures weren't entirely accurate, leaving our luggage at the hotel was a convenience that added to our overnight experience in Altavista Refugio.
The hotel offers magnificent rooms with a great view of the Teide. The service is friendly and helpful, although it can be slow at times. The location is excellent, right in the middle of the caldera with stunning landscapes. The dining experience is varied but could improve on temperature consistency. Overall, a lovely stay with a few minor drawbacks.
My stay at the hotel was comfortable overall, with spacious rooms but some noise from a generator outside. The service was friendly and accommodating, especially for special dietary needs. The location offered a unique view of the Teide volcano, despite quick weather changes. The dining experience, although a bit pricey, was of good quality, with an early start time. The facilities were satisfactory, enhancing my stay while noting some management issues.
